A cover should tell the audience what the presentation is about and who is speaking. Use a concise title, a useful subtitle and a small presenter or organisation line. Choose a photograph or graphic that connects with the subject rather than simply filling the slide.
Leave room around the headline and check the layout on a wide screen. Keep the type large enough to read from the back of a room. Use the same colour palette for later slides so the opening feels connected to the whole presentation.
Export PNG for a crisp cover or JPG when the image is mostly photographic. Check the dimensions against your slide document before placing the cover. Keep an editable project so dates, speaker names and session titles are easy to change.
